Review: Sleek "Au Naturel" Pallete

So as a lover of all things beauty I like to try as many different beauty products as within my reach. As with being "new" to beauty products, at the moment I am concentrating on building up a healthy (or as most would see it unhealthy" make up collection) A staple everyday eyeshadow pallette was something I had been looking for, for quite sometime now and I think I may have found it; in the form of the Sleek "au naturel" pallette.

The pallette consits of 12  neutral shades both a mixture of matt and shimmer. There are 8 matt shades: Nougat, Nubuck, Cappuccino, Honeycomb, Toast, Bark, Regal and Noir; and 4 shimmery shades:Taupe, Conker, Moss and Mineral Earth.

Personally I tend to prefer more matter shades so this pallette is perfect; although I find that the shimmery shades are actually really wearable as the glitter is quite fine and not too chunky which I somethimes find with other shimmer eyeshadows. These shadows have good pigmentation and also find they have good staying power even without a eyeprimer, which is great! The texture of shadows is lovely; they have a silky creamy-like texture and are not chalky at all.

Sleek have also done a great job of making the packing look, well, sleek. For me a major part when buying makeup is the packaging. The pallette contains a large mirror, which is great, it also feels really well made and sturdy, which if your anything like me is an added bonus!

Overall I'd say this is a lovely pallete, especially for the (available for £7.99 at Superdrug, Boots or the Sleek website its self). I would also recommend having a nosey at the other 14 coulour options availble: if your a naturals kind-of -a gal like myself I  would also recommend checking out the "Storm" and "Oh So Special" palletes (well theres another 2 items added to my beauty wish list!)

I'd love it if you guys could let me know your favourite eyeshadow Pallettes, I always love discoving new Products!

So... That was 2013

So another year is nearly at an end, and how was it for you guys? I have to be honest and I've had better, and certainly worse!

For me 2013 just seemed to consist of allot of stress, deadlines, pressure and decision making (none of which I am a big fan of). I completed my GCSE's this and didn't end up too shabby (to be perfectly honest this is where the majority of the stress and misery of 2013 came from) and didn't end up too shabby; the end of 2013 really started to get better from their on out; i started my a-levels and am doing all the subjects i wish i could do and am really enjoying it, even though there is a hefty workload accompanying by this!!!

I have decided that I'm not going to make a "New Years resolution" but instead think about what place in my life i want to be next year, things i want to do and achieve by this time next year. I am also determinded to not let the little things in life bother me so much and have a more "C'est la vie" outlook on life.

I also plan to blog alot more, possibly thinking a blog post every week or so aswell as I do like writting blog posts (when I find the time) so i am going to try to make time. I would also like to discover and read some new blogs so please leave the name of your blog of a link in the comments and i'll be sure to "pop-over" and have a read.

I hope that everyone who reads this has a very happy new year.

Roll on 2014!!!

Starting a Fresh

So today a decided to "Start again" if you will and to start using my blog again. It's something I have been thinking about for the past several months or so and have now come to a decision.

I have been reading many beauty blogs for the past year and have been loving them (Zoella, Sprinkle of Glitter, Tanya Burr, Fleur De Force, Fashion Rocks My Socks and Katie Snooks - just a few of my personal favourites :D) and just sat their thinking "this is something I would Love to do so why aren't I?", so I have decided to take the plunge (TAKE 2!) and re start.

I would love to one day even just have a small number of people that value and enjoy my blog. I would even love to start up my own Youtube channel, though I don't think I'll ever be quite that brave but I am content for now anyways.

my little message for anyone reading this blog would be to "just do it", if theres something you want to do grab that opportunity (metaphorically of course) and just go for it, you only live once so YOLO (sorry just couldn't quite help myself!) and I always think its better to look back and go "well I'm glad I did that" or "ohh well, that didn'''t work out did it" instaed of" if only I'd been brave enough to do it"; because "what ifs" play on your mind much longer than an "oh well"

Slacking on the blog front...

I'm so so so sorry that I haven't been blogging much recently. At the moment I've had a lot going on. mostly to do with the crapload of coursework and revision I have been doing in aid of my GCSE's (if any of you have done GCSE's or our in Year 11 at the moment you will understand what complete hell it is) and in the little spare time I have had after sitting in front of a computer all day doing IT coursework and writing endless evaluations I haven't particularly felt like sitting down to write a blog post (more like collapsing on my bed!) no matter how much I love blogging!

However I do still want to blog so in 5 weeks when all my exams shall be over I will be able to put so much more into blogging. Hopefully I will also be able to make up for lost time as I will have 4 months of completely no school before all the madness starts again with A-level!!!

So if anyone happens to stumble across this blog (which is very unlikely!) please DON'T think this is a "dead" blog, it's just the start :) Apologies that this is quite a dull post but it had to be done!

byeee!

Soap and Glory Pulp-Friction Foamy Fruity Body Scrub Review

I have a love for all Soap and Glory products (well more of an obsession to tell the truth) and have recently acquired another product to my growing collection as a gift. So since I've started blogging now I thought I would write a cheeky little Review about it, so here goes...

Every Soap and Glory Product I come across I seem to instantly love and this product is no exception. The scrub contains fig powder, pumice, peppermint oil, lemonade tree liquid, orange waterjuice and vitamin balls (whatever they are haha). The tiny particles of pumice do a great job of getting rid of dry, rough or dead skin. I personally have pale and sensitive skin so an awful lot of body scrubs often leave my skin a bright blotchy red and feeling sore and irritable, However I have been used this product multiples and it has done neither which is great. After I have used this product I can instantly tell the difference in my skin after one use (I am guessing this is down to the exfoliation of the pumice or the vitamin balls). The only down side to this product is that I only use it in the shower as the tiny particles of pumice gather at the bottom of the bath and don't leave a great feeling for the remainder of your bath, this could be resolved by using this product last (which I didn't when I tried). This being said I still love this product and now just use it in the shower as I have other exfolents  I can use in the bath.

The Fragrance of this product "Fruitigo Fragrance" lives up to the amazing scent of all the Soap and
Glory Products which is a massive part of why I love these products soo much. With Frozen yuzu, Orange oil, green fig and jungle pomelo essence it has a really fresh and "zingy" fragrance so I personally use in the morning as it perfect because of its bright scent and is super refreshing, it has a real "wake me up" feel to it. I would have to say that the dominant sent would have to be the jungle pomelo essence as their isn't a strong smell of orange oil which I love as I'm not a massive fan of orange scented wash or scrub products.

I would also say that because of it foamy soap like texture it could also act as a kind of wash as well (Personally I use both)

Like all Soap and Glory Products it is available at Boots with a £8.00 Price tag. For some people this may be relatively expensive for a body scrub (as it is for me) but a little goes a long way (especially as it foams up when added to water and worked into the skin)- two £2 coin sized pieces (3 at the max) should be all you need per go which I don't think is to bad!

I really advise that you give this product a go as it is amazing or at least pop into Boots and give it a sniff (like a weirdo ;) ) to experience the amazing smell which if your like me will probably tempt you to buy it haha

My First Blog Post...

So here I am writing my first ever blog post (exciting isn't it!). I have been toying with the idea of starting a blog for several months now but I  just couldn't pluck up the courage to start one myself because of that small chance that someone I know in real life would happen to come across it and judge me (stupid I know). But this morning I had a YOLO moment (did I actually just use YOLO? ohh dear) and thought "Why do I care what someone else would think of it?" so I'm not caring and going to do it anyway!

I will be writing about all manner of girly things (clothes, makeup, fashion etc) but I'm also planning to write about life in general and my opinions.

So here we go, I'm jumping in right at the deep end (splash!) and I hope that some of you will join be in doing so.

Also as I am completely new to this I would grateful for any advice/tips you could give me and would love to check out your blogs or blogs that you love, you could let me now by commenting below.

:) xx
